The Voice of Democracy
A Voice for the Voiceless
"Democracy cannot succeed unless those who express their choice are prepared to choose wisely. The real safeguard of democracy, therefore, is education." Theodore Roosevelt
In a democracy, having a voice is more than just picking one side of a divide. The past few decades have polarized this nation, and we've ignored the shades between our two-party system. This system, heavy and burdensome, has created an adversarial framework that has removed hopes for a genuinely unified state.
The Voice of Democracy wants to take a new look at American democracy and find the humanity on both sides. Through stories and unique perspectives, we will answer the questions that keep us in division. What does it mean to be American? Let's give voices to the voiceless and find the truth.
